Therapist
Grove School is seeking a therapist(s) who has clinical experience working with adolescents and their families, or child experience to provide therapy services to our students at our therapeutic Boarding School.
This clinical position involves facilitating individual psychotherapy, family therapy and group therapy in a co-ed therapeutic boarding school on the CT shoreline. Clinicians work as part of a clinical team, including a case manager, therapist/clinician, and a psychiatric prescriber. An investment in collaborative clinical work is a crucial aspect of this role.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with high-functioning, yet clinically complex kids, in an environment that utilizes a systems and relational based approach to maximize emotional healing and healthy youth development.
The ideal candidate will be licensed or license eligible in CT and have experience working with adolescents and families. Candidates should be versed in Systems Theory as it relates to adolescent treatment and the collaboration with all the crucial systems in an adolescent’s life in order to facilitate healthy development and change. Background and training in DBT, CBT, and EMDR is preferred. Candidates should have experience working with children and adolescents living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning, spectrum diagnoses, trauma, and attachment issues.
Requirements:
- Licensed Clinician holding one or more of the following degrees: LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD and PsyD.
- Clinical experience with adolescents.
- Written ability to perform concurrent documentation and navigate through electronic health records if needed.
- Must be able to pass DCF, State and FBI Criminal Background checks.
Positions are Part-Time or Full-Time. Salary Negotiable.
